Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational technology company with headquarters in Redmond, Washington. It develops, manufactures, licenses, supports and sells consumer electronics, computer software, personal computers and services for users around the world. Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded the company in 1975. Although Microsoft is best known for its software products, the company also runs a number of web services and has also made a wide variety of hardware over the years.
